A Great Interview

If you’ve wondered who Denver Snuffer is and why the LDS church is seeking to destroy his name, this is the best interview I’ve seen with him. I’d suggest listening to his ten talks www.thetentalks.com and watching this interview.  https://youtu.be/mSpiEE5rnEg You’ll know if there is something significant happening that you want to be a part of.

Prosper in the Land

The exact phrase, “prosper in the land,” is used 21 times in the Book of Mormon.

Does “prosper in the land” mean the land will prosper you or more generically, as you exist on this planet earth, you will prosper?

Here are a few of those scriptures that speak of prospering in the land. I would suggest that the land will prosper us as we repent and turn unto God. As you read, ponder and pray over these verses and others, I believe the Lord will teach you some valuable truths that may lead to a change of trajectory in your life. It may change your temporal and spiritual experience forever in the Lord and in the land He desires to give you.

“And we did begin to multiply and prosper in the land” (NC Mosiah 6:2). Abrahamic covenant- posterity, land and priesthood

Combination of temporal and spiritual blessings/cursings:

“inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments, ye shall prosper in the land; but inasmuch as ye will not keep my commandments, ye shall be cut off from my presence…that ye may not be cursed with a sore cursing, and also that ye may not incur the displeasure of a just God upon you unto the destruction — yea, the Eternal destruction — of both soul and body” (NC 2 Nephi 1:4).

“inasmuch as ye shall keep the commandments of God, ye shall prosper in the land. And ye ought to know also that inasmuch as ye will not keep the commandments of God, ye shall be cut off from his presence” (NC Alma 17:6).

“And he said, If ye will keep my commandments, ye shall prosper in the land, but if ye keep not his commandments, ye shall be cut off from his presence” (NC Alma 17:9).

“inasmuch as ye shall keep the commandments of God, ye shall prosper in the land; and inasmuch as ye will not keep the commandments of God, ye shall be cast off from his presence” (NC Alma 18:1).

“inasmuch as they shall keep my commandments, they shall prosper in the land. ... But remember, inasmuch as they will not keep my commandments, they shall be cut off from the presence of the Lord” (NC Alma 22:4).

Combination of temporal and spiritual blessings/cursings.

“And now it came to pass that after Alma had said these things to Helaman, he blessed him, and also his other sons, and he also blessed the earth for the righteous’ sake. And he said, Thus saith the Lord God: Cursed shall be the land, yea, this land, unto every nation, kindred, tongue, and people, unto destruction, which do wickedly, when they are fully ripe; and as I have said, so shall it be. For this is the cursing and the blessing of God upon the land, for the Lord cannot look upon sin with the least degree of allowance” (NC Alma 21:3).

Interesting that he only mentions a curse for wickedness. Implies the earth naturally gives an abundance and only our neglect and poor stewardship brings about cursings and her resistance to yield an increase to the inhabitants upon her face. Like a nursing cow and calf. She holds back but will yield if she trusts she will have enough milk for her calf.

“Wherefore, this people shall keep my commandments, saith the Lord of Hosts, or cursed be the land for their sakes” (NC Jacob 2:7). Stated in Jacob’s monogamy sermon.

In contrast, bondage is mentioned in scripture:

Old Covenants (21)

The New Covenants

New Testament (12)

Book of Mormon (51)

Teachings and Commandments (12)

Our God is a Father of covenant. He will bless those that repent and come unto him. May the Lord bless us as we seek to understand him and our place on this earth, in the land.
