Know for Yourself

I’m so grateful for truth. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. I’m grateful He appears to men and women and gives them truth that they share with others. I’m grateful that He invites those He shares with to share openly that He has spoken to them and commanded them to share.

This is what Joseph Smith shared. He openly shared that He knew the Lord and then laid out the path to come to Christ and know Him in this life too.

“We have heard men who hold the priesthood remark that they would do anything they were told to do by those who preside over them (even) if they knew it was wrong; but such obedience as this is worse than folly to us; it is slavery in the extreme; and the man who would thus willingly degrade himself, should not claim a rank among intelligent beings, until he turns from his folly. A man of God would despise the idea. Others, in the extreme exercise of their almighty authority have taught that such obedience was necessary, and that no matter what the saints were told to do by their presidents, they should do it without any questions. When the Elders of Israel will so far indulge in these extreme notions of obedience as to teach them to the people, it is generally because they have it in their hearts to do wrong themselves.”  Joseph Smith, Millennial Star, vol.14 #38, pp. 593-95

It is recorded in the Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith that, “President Joseph Smith read the 14th chapter of Ezekiel—said the Lord had declared by the Prophet, that the people should each one stand for himself, and depend on no man or men in that state of corruption of the Jewish church—that  righteous persons could only deliver their own souls—applied it to the present state of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—said if the people departed from the Lord, they must fall—that they were depending on the Prophet, hence were darkened in their minds, in consequence of neglecting the duties devolving upon themselves, envious towards the innocent, while they afflict the virtuous with their shafts of envy” (TPJS p. 237-8).

The reason these truths are on my mind and heart is we live in a day when those we want to trust are not telling us the will of the Lord. There are presidents, rulers, priests and kings who act as if they have authority from God. They think that because they sit in the chief seats that they are equal to God. We must be in tune with the Spirit of the Lord and rise up and commune with God that we might know the way for ourselves.

Joseph Smith said these great words, “I know for myself…”. We must do the same. We must come to know for ourselves the truth, that no man may lead us astray.

In our current situation these truths are of the utmost importance. We have ample evidence that men and women of power, money and influence are supporting foundations that are vaccinating the population with the intent to depopulate the world. They now have us in a position where they can, and I believe they will, start placing restrictions upon us that we may not fly, enter businesses to buy or sell etc without identification stating that you are free from such and such a disease or that you’ve been vaccinated. The vaccine will not be as innocent and wonderful as those who promote it say it is.

I believe the scriptures, “ye are the temple of God.” We must be wise stewards over what is put into our bodies. We cannot give our agency to anyone who tells us what to do with or take into our bodies. It doesn’t matter who recommends a particular vaccine, we must go directly to the Lord to know for ourselves what we should do.

Follow the Lord - Whose on the Lord’s Side Who?

It’s becoming more and more clear to me why the Lord allowed me to go through the opposition, lies and slander that my church leaders have put me through as I stood on the side of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and His true servants, Joseph Smith and others. I needed to be rocked from my position that men we sustain as prophets, seers and revelators are infallible as they lead the church. I went to the word of God for help and the Lord guided me to truth. Some of what I found I have shared on my posts.

We are seeing more and more clearly that we ought to believe the word of God and put our trust in Him and take heed that no man deceive us.

Men are telling us to take the covid test, comply with the mask and they will also tell us to comply and take the vaccination. The prophets have spoken in the scriptures. Ether 8 is fresh amongst us. If you trust in men or in the arm of flesh you will go through a horrible time.

What will you do if the leader of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints tells you to take the vaccination?

Scripturally the Lord has invited us to follow Him. Beware of false prophets who come to you in His name.

I pray that we will seek the Lord for strength. I know how hard it is to see through a glass darkly and sincerely believe you already are seeing clearly. The Lord will take us and temper us and give us new lenses if we allow Him to do so. We must humble ourselves before the word of God and His Holy Spirit.

I pray for all of us.

Is It of God to Question Leaders?

I came across this article. Very good. I would add two things, “by their fruits ye shall know them,” and “whoso treasureth up my word, shall not be deceived.” Someone may say the right things but simply be flattering you into following them. They may be saying one thing and doing another.

Here is the article. Great food for thought. Essential to our salvation to consider what is taught here:

The Obedience of Jesus

What would have happened if Jesus was obedient to the leaders of the church?

Would He have accomplished His divine role as our Savior and Redeemer?

What will be required of us to follow Him?

I’m so grateful and full of love to Him, who obeyed His Father regardless of what others would say or do to Him. Praise be to God and the Lamb!
