Interview with Rob Fotheringham

 https://youtu.be/nKktw13f3wo

I thought I’ve been posting his other videos but in case I haven’t... One very important thing he brings out in his polygamy video, is either Joseph Smith said one thing and practiced another in secret, hypocrisy or lying, or the current church is lying. The church says Joseph preached against polygamy and plural marriage and yet practiced it in secret. I called Joseph Smith Papers and asked them directly before my first post about polygamy and that’s what they told me, that Joseph preached against it but practiced it in secret. So, who do you believe? It’s one or the other. You can’t have both. Either Joseph lied or the church lied from the days of Brigham all the way through to today. As you watch his polygamy post it’s very clear. If you go to his channel you’ll see the video. All 6 are very well done.

Remember in D&C 76, the telestial order is made up of those that love and make a lie.

Staying in the Fight with Grace to Bring About Zion

Tonight there is a critical race theory discussion over a group thread I created with our cousins and aunts and uncles on one of the sides of my family. I felt inspired to share some thoughts about what it looks like to not let the Savior heal and how we have two examples of CRT bringing about the destruction of the nephite and jaredite nations. Deep wounds passed on generationally that can only be healed by Jesus and repentance and forgiveness.

It’s causing me to pause and make sure i’m not reeling because of pain from sin by leaders in the church. I feel I’m working on forgiveness to the leaders and the members of the church who I feel hurt, disfellowshipped and excommunicated me.

There is a balance. If someone is not willing to repent than i must still forgive but i may choose to not continue in an abusive relationship where lies and abuses are loved and perpetuated. So, do I need to bury the hatchet and quit trying to bring darkness to light?

I think it's important to recognize false doctrine and unbelief. At the same time, we need to do it graciously. I don’t think I’ve done that graciously all the time. I’ll try and repent of that. I definitely believe we need to bring up those things that are wrong at the proper timing and proper levels to bring about change/repentance. I tried to do that but was continually brushed aside and told to trust the leaders of the church. The more i prayed and searched and pondered, the more i could see the perpetuated lies, the traditions of the fathers that are not correct. I felt an obligation to share so we could eliminate darkness and come fully into the light, as I feel the scriptures instruct us to do. As i did, i’m sure I did it clumsily at times. I’m sorry for that. I’ll try to speak more kindly, with love, gentle persuasion and stay in the truth.

A good friend shared with me what he said the Lord shared with him. I think it is valuable as we have difficult discussions that must be had. He said something to the effect that we should...

1-Stay in charity

2-Honor agency

3-be malleable, willing to change our position

4-stay in the fight

These things he shared with me keep coming to my mind and heart. I’ll keep working on it. I think they’re powerful principles to live by. It’s a process to master these. If we are going to create Zion, I think these 4 principles will need to be developed in each one of us.

Temples Left Standing

I was studying in section 93 this morning. I realized that when Jesus prophesied that not one stone of the temple would be left standing, it was a layered prophecy.

In this section we learn the elements are the tabernacle of man and that man is the tabernacle of God, even temples. Whatever temple is defiled, God shall destroy that temple.

It’s interesting that the temples of Jerusalem and Nauvoo were destroyed. Once the tabernacles of God are corrupted/defiled, they no longer are able to hold God and are destroyed. Not one stone is left standing.

Same with our bodies, the temples of God. Once we are defiled and no longer will receive God, our temples will be destroyed. Thus, the mass destruction in these last days as many temples will be destroyed and only those willing to receive the Lord in their temple will be able to abide the day of His return.

Authority, Apostasy and Key Questions

Some questions on authority, apostasy and keys that I believe are vital to consider as we continue into the prophesied end times.

Consider Lehi, Nephi, Jacob, Abinadi, Alma, Mormon, Moroni, Adam, Enoch, Noah, Melchizedek, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joseph Smith etc. How were these men called as true messengers (prophets) of the Lord, Jesus Christ?

Do true messengers from God worry about proving to the people that they have keys or do they just deliver the message God gave them to give to the people?

Do true messengers have others testify or try and prove that they have authority from God to give a message?

Do the Pharisees worry about authority? Remember they questioned Jesus who gave Him authority. Moses was the first one in the line back from the Pharisees, the Jewish leadership. Moses saw God. He received scripture from Him and guided the people. Over time the “church” that Moses had established was incapable of recognizing Jesus, the Messiah, when He ministered to them in fulfillment of their own prophecies given to them by Moses.

Do the Catholics, the universal church, worry about keys/authority? Peter walked and talked with Jesus, the Messiah. He wrote scripture along with the other apostles. In the Vatican today there are many statues with Peter holding keys. The Catholics still point to the keys they hold through the popes, even though the history of the popes is littered with all sorts of political and social injustices.

Do the LDS worry about keys/authority? Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus Christ. He received scripture from them and translated an ancient book of scripture. Today, those in succession are still pointing to his keys and proclaiming they have been passed down to the current leadership in the church through the succeeding presidents of the church to the current president.

What do the Jews, Catholics and LDS have in common? What isn’t common about them?

Can keys of knowledge that an individual receives from heaven be passed down without being corrupted eventually? What happens if the knowledge turns to righteousness, ie: Enoch’s city and Melchizedek’s? What is the pattern that plays out over time if a group of people aren’t translated?

Is there a difference between the Church of God and the Kingdom of God? Is apostasy a pattern that will always happen if a group of people don’t ascend and are translated?

Was Russell M. Nelson called the same way as the prophets were called throughout scripture?
