James invited us to consider our lack of wisdom and go to God for direction. He said, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways” (James 1:5-8).
When we listen to our humility we hear ourselves recognize we lack wisdom to understand all that is happening around us. God is the source of light and truth. He will give us abundantly and He won’t be disappointed or angry with us for asking questions and trying to figure things out. When we seek in faith, determined to act according to the answer, no matter the cost, then we know we are on solid ground, a foundation built on Jesus Christ. If we hold back, then we know we are double minded and not entirely giving our whole souls to God.
I invite you to consider your feelings and thoughts. There are interesting things happening with leadership in high places. There is collusion, secrecy, half truths and darkness. Men and women seek to rule over others without regard to individual sovereignty, agency. They seek to instill fear and keep us trusting in them, instead of trusting the truth of Jesus Christ burning in each one of us. God is revealing the secret acts of men. As we consider the scriptures, we realize it is prophesied that men’s secret acts will be shouted from the housetops. The blinders are being taken off.
Come and reason with the Lord. He will not rebuke you nor forsake you for sincerely seeking answers. His promises are real. He will come to you.
I’m coming to Boise this weekend to listen to several speakers that will share perspectives on the work God is doing for the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ, a restoration that has always been in His heart. I invite you to come consider these things with me and others.

I know God answers prayers. Truth will prevail and the purposes of our creation will be manifest if we allow God to work in us.
I will be there as well. Let's connect when there

DeleteGreg...Chris Grayson here. My wife, Marilyn, and I met you briefly during the first break while you were holding your little angel in the seating aisle. We really enjoyed all of what was presented, and felt like we were gathered with many truth-seekers. I commented to Marilyn that I heard more doctrine in those 6 talks than I've heard during General and Semi-Annual conference for decades. Much of what is presented at those conferences seems to fall into the category of "comfort food" rather than further light and knowledge. Anyway, I do appreciated your posts here, and am always checking for anything new you have to share. I also enjoy the thoughts that Eric Smith shares through Doctrinal Essays and his recent Telegraph group. You seem to have a wonderful wife and family. God continue to bless your efforts and your love for the Savior and Father's children. If there's something I can do to help the work along, just let me know. Godspeed. (cjgrayson@hotmail.com).
